Ecological Footprint Activity Ecological footprint activity Bleketskolan Sweden This activity was done by 24 students of a class 9 in our school. All the students made their own ecological footprint quiz. An average of the ecological footprint was calculated. Our average 2,7 earths!!! Some of us had up to 4 earths and some of us as low as 1,7 earths!! We think our biggest problems are: Eating the wrong kind of food Using too much energy in transportation and in our homes. Consuming too much electronic equipment. Resolutions things we can do to make a difference! Heat the house with firewood Use a lower temperature when doing laundry Colder showers Buy recycled things Make good use of left over food! Turn off the lights when you are not in the room Turn off TV:s and computers, and not use stand by mode Lower the temperature in the house Shower more quickly Donīt buy things you donīt need! Grow your own vegetables Buy more ecological food Use the scooter more seldom Eat less imported foods Take the charger for the mobile phone out of the socket Use a bicycle instead of the car when possible Walk to school Let the cat catch itīs own food! Use the computer less time Ride a longboard Use an electric scooter instead of the usual kind Use an electric car Use less electricity Toilet without water walk Use leaves instead of toiletpaper Build your own windmill Use a smaller car |
