Our Roots excursion - Bergbaumuseum Mechernich

In December 2009 we tried to find our roots. We digged underneath trees but weren`t really successful. (Sorry for that stupid joke).

In former times our town had a prospering lead-pit. Our great-grand fathers and grandfathers were employed there and worked hard. Well, that was our initial idea when we set out to dig deep in Mechernich soil but instead we took the guided tour - a much more convenient way to explore our ancestor´s life and work-conditions. Here you get some impressions:
